Update! Okay guys and gals, I know it's been a while since Cream has reared its ugly head to the rest of the world. Some of you might remember a little band we featured back in the day known as Sunset Valley. Rumor has it that since we "broke" the news about Herman and the boys, things have been going quite well for them. Perhaps now you'll understand the power of the Cream! Seriously though, we wish them well, Sunset truly deserve all the accolades they've received recently. They're a fantastic band. (Still waiting on that check, boys).

In other entirely unrelated and frustrating news, Creamy favorites The Drive By Truckers were recently robbed of nearly everything but their dignity outside a show in Chatanooga. Come chickenshit bastard thieves stole a slew of rare Truckers tapes and other irreplaceable belongings. Thankfully the Truckers' equipment was saved due to their playing onstage during the theft, but many of their home recordings and a very important doctors bag - don't ask - have yet to be recovered. If you have any information regarding this, or the disappearance of my pt chair Rocky, please email the Truckers at: mail@drivebytruckers.com. Do your best to help out a great band and my favorite place to sit. Now, on to the muzak...

Monkey Paw

After a long night of drinking Marc stumbles into the living room where Jeremy is reading the paper listening to music...

- Hey, what's up? Me? Nuthin'. Last night? Not much really...watched a little TV, listened to some records. What about you? Yeah? Cool party? Nice! What was she like? Wow, German huh? Cool, what's that? What do you mean it's leaking? I bet some cream would clear that right up.

(audible music from stereo) "I hate peace and love one another, why don't you just go fuck your mother"

Hehe. Yeah, pretty cool huh? Don't get enough of that in your rock 'n' roll these days. Who? Oh, it's Monkey Paw. Yeah, Mon-key Paw. You'll like this one, the album's called Hating You Is So Easy. I don't know, I'm not really sure...they're some crazy Chicago band. Totally, I know! They rock pretty hard. The rest of the album is pretty solid, too. It's sorta Pixies-ish, y'know? The singer kinda sounds like Billy Corgan - before he started sucking, that is. There's this cool little swing-ish song called "What A Shame," as well as a Spanish-type song called "Señorita." They're kinda all over the place, but it still rocks; I think that's why I like it so much. Yep, horns and everything, the whole deal.

(from stereo again) "My you've grown and I don't mean that in a good way"

(living room door opens, in walks Bill)

Hey Bill, what's up. Me? Nuthin really, just watched some tube, listened to some records. You? Oh yeah I forgot, how was the, ahem, Blink 176 show, huh?, oh 182, whatever. Hehe, stop laughing Marc, don't get me started man, it's too early for that. This, oh it's Monkey Paw, yep Mon-key Paw. Oh yeah, you're right Blink 198 is a much better name for a band. Too loud for ya huh, hear let me fix that for ya.

(as stereo turns louder Bill cringes and exits room)

Works every time doesn't it Marc, that boy needs some fiber in his musical diet, whaddya say we make a copy of this and switch it with his Jodeci album. Jesus, I can't believe we haven't destroyed that by now. Better yet, let's put that first track "Fuck Your Mother" on our answering machine. Yeah, I know, he's had like three people call him back for interviews for some internet companies or some shit like that. I know, that'd be hysterical, let's do it. Oh okay, we can do it after your doctor's appointment man, yeah, I hope the swelling goes down too.
