Ares Destiny offers a ‘free’ download to your computer

File sharing software like Ares is great in so many different ways. You can find and listen to your favorite music at the click of a button. You can collect libraries – hard drives full – of wonderful music all for free. Sharing is an important thing in everyone’s life, and Ares certainly facilitates that.
Ares Destiny is just one version of Ares that is on the market. It has a clean looking website which clearly and lucidly takes you through the download and installation processes; you’ll have the software on your computer in no time at all.
And then all hell breaks loose. Seriously. Ares Destiny has some surprises up its metaphorical sleeve.
First you’ll notice that Ares Destiny has a good but slightly flawed interface. The whole thing is a little bit flawed generally: not enough to make you want to smash your computer, but enough to put a doubt in your mind. No, the smashing of the computer comes when you realize that, without asking, Ares Destiny has installed the Dealio software. Dealio is supposedly a shopping comparison engine but in reality it serves highly annoying popups to your screen on a startling frequent basis.
We have to wonder what possessed the designers of Dealio to go down this route.
