Contacting Writers
If you would like to correspond with any of the writers individually, follow their mail links at the bottom of each feature or check out the writer profiles in the Ink Blot "about us" section.
Attention Publicists/Labels: We will gladly consider your CD for review. Please keep in mind that Ink Blot typically reviews fewer than 10 albums per monthly issue, so we only have space to review the very best of the stuff we hear. We promise we'll give what you send a listen, but that's all we can promise. Oh, and we will send you a virtual tearsheet (i.e. a link) if we review your submission.
Unsigned/under-the-radar bands/artists hoping for a Cream of the Crop feature: Please note that Ink Blot receives hundreds of Cream of the Crop submissions each month. Before sending your CD to us, ask yourselves these questions:
1. Does our CD suck?
2. Do we play smooth jazz, adult contemporary rock, or nu metal?
3. Are we unrepentant goths?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, please send your CD to one of the many other outlets for reviews on the Web. We're sure there's a venue for it, but Ink Blot ain't it.
Everyone else's CD will be heard by editorial staff, time permiting. You'll find our mailing address below. We will not consider online audio clips for review -- please send the hard copy. Please remember to include your contact information along with your CD so we can let you know if we decide to review it.
