Sarah Palin attended Wasilla High school

Sarah Palin’s political career, although short, has been a phenomenally successful one. From early beginnings in her home town of Wasilla, Alaska, to her current position as that state’s Governor, Sarah Palin has never been afraid to step on the toes of those who oppose her positive changes.

Sarah Palin’s first term as Mayor of Wasilla was won on the back of an attack of the current mayor John Stein. The voters in Wasilla warmed to Palin what were surely seen as maverick ways. Sarah Palin kept a jar full of voters’ names on her desk in the City Hall. Once a week she would pick a name from the jar and call that person, asking what it was that they thought of the city. Cutting taxes is a quick way to win people’s hearts, and Sarah Palin knew this. Her moves to cut property taxes by a massive 75%, and to eliminate personal property and business inventory taxes went down predictably well.

Palin shook up the top officials of the city almost as soon as she took office, asking for the resignation of all officials as well as their CVs. She reappointed some but only after she had discovered the extent of their loyalty and dedication to her cause.

It is moves like this that polarize those following Sarah Palin, but also that make her such a good choice for a dynamic Vice President. [...]
